Instead of a wagon I always prefer a SUV. The SUV is offers much more space. Ok, the comfort might be more sedan like at a wagon version when driving. However when you don`t drive permanently in cities or on interstates the SUV has much more advantages on poor road conditions. What do you guys think about chances to get a SUV for a Drive Happy Deal booking?

There is no problem to get a SUV out of Compact, Midsize or Standard SUV category. What you need is simply some luck and good will of the staff at the counter. Tell him what you would like to get then for sure the guy will do the utmost. My opinion only.

Absolutely the same opinion. There is a good chance for nice SUVs.

Midsize SUV for a Drive Happy Deal booking would be a great result. I`ll try it next time and plan to ask at the counter then. ;)

I plan a one week rental end of august at Chicago O´Hare Airport. Just checked out some offers. The Drive Happy Deal seems to be the almost cheapest offer from Alamo. Probably I´ll book it. What do you guys think?

Why not?! As it`s obviously the cheapest offer anyway you can book it. The Alamo Drive Happy Deal opens a lot of opportunities to get a nice car. I would tell the person at the counter which category or car you`ll like to get. Wish you good luck! :D

I`ve booked it one time. Got a Jeep but don`t remember the model
It was a pretty good experience as we enterde the parking lot and the attendant didn`t care about our decision what we picked. I only remeber that it was a larger Jeep model which made me not so happy as the gas mileage was poor. But overall it worked out great. If I have the chance I`ll do the Alamao Drive Happy Deal again.

Can I book the Alamo drive happy deal for a one way booking? Or is it mandatory to return the rental car at the station where I`ve picked it up? Thanks!

I don`t think that you will find any offer on the Alamo website for a one way rental @Jamaica . You must decide in such a case for a specific category.
