Sixt BMW 530i Sedan Experience

Post by Xylia » Wed Aug 26, 2020 1:59 am

Hey together!

My last rental was a BMW 530i Sedan from Sixt. The 530i is runs by a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4 cylinder engine. This engine with 248 HP is as much engine as I could need. It doesn`t struggle neither with the size nor weight of the car. Sixt provided a car with more than sufficient equipment like leather trim, keyless entry and engine start, a climate control for two zones, steering column adjustable electrically, heating of the front seats, LED lights adaptable, Harman Kardon with 16 speakers and besides others also auto-dimming mirrors.
The engine is combined with an eight-speed automatic which satisfies all needs. An adaptive suspension is blotting out without any effort all bumps and other things which might have a negative impact on the comfort of the passengers.
The installed state of the art devices like nine airbags or an adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, the blind spot monitoring including side collision warning supplemented by front and rear cross traffic alert provide me with a great feeling of safety. Not to forget the speed sign recognition and the lane departure warning plus lane keep assist and lane centring which are also installed.

For me a great car, comfortable, big and elegant.

The BMW 530i had only 1544 miles on the odometer. It was almost brand new. ;)

The 4 cylinder engine satisfies all needs. Except the sound of a BMW 6 cylinder would be better. In general great car which Sixt offers. Appreciate your report and pictures @Xylia. :D

Interesting report about the BMW 530 i sedan from Sixt. It`s a high quality german made car but I don`t need all these security devices installed in that car. The only featur I personally think as very interesting is the blind spot monitoring.

What I like at BMW cars is the suspension. It is comfortable and at the same time dynamic. Also in emergency situations the suspension allows full control. Great based on my experience. :D

I would prefer the BMW 530i Wagon instead of the Sedan version. But all over a very beautiful car with relieble and powerful engine. The 4 cylinder is also very good on gaz. ;)

Would prefer the 6 cylinder BMW 540i instead of the 4 cylinder 530i. However a great car which is very comfortable in driving and represents a high quality made sedan.

The sound of a 6 cylinder is of course totally different to any 4 cylinder engine. But there is an obvious trend of downsizing the engines at BMW.
