Hertz reserve this exact model

Post by Buyman » Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:29 am

Hi guys,
does anyone have any experience booking Hertz the option guaranteed vehicle?
The car rental company in the IJAR group guarantees a Jeep Wrangler with 2 or 4 doors.

I would really like to drive exactly this car and hope that I get this model when I`ll pick it up.
thank you in advance for all comments.

yes I have already booked the Hertz "exact model".
That worked perfectly. I didn't have to wait long at the counter. The employee was very friendly. Although I had booked the guaranteed model, I was still asked if I would like to change the model. I appreciated however refused and got the Jeep Wrangler :)

Does this option apply for longterm rentals only? The checked out example of @Buyman shows a rental rate per month? :o

This option is also applicable for any short term rentals i.e. one day only. As usual erverything is a question of money only.

I think that Hertz offers this exact model option for IJAR class only which is Group V. In this categroy of intermediate open air all terrain vehicles the only choice is the Jeep Wrangler. As an example at JFK you will find this exact model for a rate of 29.52 USD per day excl. tax. For other vehicle classes I have not yet found appropriate offers from Hertz.

No guys. This is not correct. You can select of a number of these exact models. Just checked it out at LAX. There you find BMW 740, Porsche Macan, Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover Sport, Porsche Boxster as examples. ;)

Rental rates for this exact model are not higher than for other car classes. A very fair approach from Hertz.

I`ll try to book the BMW 7 series with the option this Exact Model. Rental rate is ok for me. The disadvantage is that in the rate are 150 miles included only. This makes the rental more expensive when I have to buy a package of additional miles. :x
