All Students under 25 can benefit from a 25 % Student Discount from Sixt.
When you're aged 25 or under Sixt offers a deal for you car rental. It can be applied for all travels in the US or abroad. The only condition is that you are aged 21 or above and you`re currently studying at college or university. I think this is a great opportunity for a cheaper rental.

I don`t have a credit card but a debit card only. Do you guys know whether I can rent a car from Sixt without a credit card?

Yes, it is possible to rent a car from Sixt with a debit card. However you have to meet additional requirements and can be subject to restrictions.
It is mandatory that the debit card is valid at the time of pick-up and it has to be issued in the name of the main driver. Additionally you must show up to two forms of government-issued identification and you must have sufficient funds available. Then you have to meet one of the following criteria:

- As a non-local renter you cannot rent any premium, luxury, or specialty vehicles, except vans and pickup trucks. You must in this case present the return airline ticket or roundtrip flight itinerary upon pick-up.
- As a local renter you must present an original and current utility bill that has to matche the name and address on your driver’s license used. Please note that photocopies, printouts, and digital images are not allowed. Also the bills have to be no more than 30 days old and cannot be past due.
- Then certain categories can be rented only which are ECAR-FCAR, CFAR, IFAR, SPAR, PPAR, MVAR, FVAR, PVAR.
- In general debit cards are not accepeted at airport branches.
- International customers however, whose debit card is issued in their country of residence, are allowed to rent any category vehicle except for Specialty cars. But the renter has to present the return airline ticket/roundtrip flight itinerary upon pick-up.
