Thrifty Location

Post by 5.psi » Thu Jul 02, 2020 4:42 am

As far as know Thrifty is a low cost car rental company. As I`ve heard the majority of cars available are usually of the economy category. Of course this depends also on the location of Thrifty. Someone has more information about Thrifty and its fleet at different locations? Thanks!

Thrifty offer also a Luxury and Prestige category. But the selection of cars is also very limited compared to other rental companies. In the these two categories we are talking about max. BMW X3 SUV or the Chrysler 300. You should never expect too much from the Thrifty fleet at whatever location.

That´s correct. Options for nice cars from Thrifty are always limited. But the advantage is that rental rates are rather low compared to others. ;)

For me this is the only advantage of Thrifty. I`ve not yet experienced more.

Guys, someone any experience with Thrifty's Wild Card? Is it comparable with the Mystery cars of the other rental companies? Thanks!

The Wild Card from thrifty is comparable with the different Mystery Cars which are available on the market. It`s agood tool for people who wabt to pay a compact car rate but want to have the chance to get something bigger. But of course you need a little luck.

On the other hand, if you absolutely want to get a specific car category i.e. a SUV or a minimum threshold for luxury then I would say that such a Wild Card rate is not worth the risk.
My opinion!

I`ve also already booked the Wild card from Thrifty at a location with lots of cars available. The result was not so good as I`ve got simply an car out of the compact car class. Ok, I`ve only paidthe compacr car class rate but Ihoped to get something higher. So for me not the best experience at that Thrifty location.

One time I`ve booked also the Wild Card from Thrifty. I only can say that I`ll do it never again. it was one of my worst rentals ever. Dirty car, compact class only and unfriendly staff.
