First Time Car Rental

Post by Mustang70 » Mon Apr 12, 2021 10:42 am

For people renting a car for the first time it can be a stressful exercise. But don`t worry there is nothing which might be a difficulty.
If you take the following guideline into account a car rental will become a relaxing experience.

The first step is to visit online a car rental company like Sixt, Budget or any other. Then you fill in your planned pick up and return time at your location. Then you can select the rental car class which you wish and according to the rental rate indicated. Simply fill in your personal data and credit card details. Please note that the pay now option usually provides you with a lower rental rate however a free of charge cancellation is not possible. If you want to remain flexible you should apply the pay later option.

When you pick up your booked rental car at a airport location, follow the signs of "rent a car". These signs will will direct you to the counter area. Inside the terminals you will reach it by walking or from outside you can use free shuttle services.
Before going to the counter to pick up your car, please make sure that you have your reservation number, the valid driver's license and a major credit card in your name available.
Before you leave the location with the rental car you should inspect the car carefully to avoid unwanted problems. Especially inspect the car’s exterior, glass, and interior.
Later before dropping off your car, you shouldn`t forget to fuel from the closest gas station. Otherwise the rental company will charge you an important mark up for fueling services.

That`s more or less all what you have to take into account when renting a car for the first time.

Have a great trip!
