Most of renters in US don´t have a lot of experience of Sixt rent a car. I know that Sixt offer their fleet worldwide. In US they are are not a very traditional car rental company. They don`t have a long history as they are rather new on the market. Obviously they are growing rather fast. As far as I know they have in the meantime established an impressive fleet in US. For example they have located at Miami a fleet which is larger than the complete Sixt fleet in Switzerland. In other countries Sixt has a very good reputation as a car rental company which offers always the latest models. They sort out cars which are older than 6 months. Does anyone know more about Sixt rent a car or has made some experience with them?

It´s a good idea to open a thread here in the forum about Sixt rent a car. I think that Sixt actually is the fastest growing car rental company in US. The majority or renters here in US are not yet very familiar with Sixt. That`s my impression. It is true that Sixt offer the youngest fleet of all car rental companies. The average age of the fleet is three months only. I`m not aware about any other car rental company with such an impressive key figure of the fleet age.

Sixt have in the meantime a network of locations in the major cities. I think that the problem of Sixt is that the network is concentrated to the big cities only. In order to attract still more customers they should have more locations in smaller cities as well and not only in the big ones.

Reason is that marketing specialists say that for a premium brand as Sixt, the best locations are at the large airports or in the conrac.
Sixt follow this advice at the moment.

Sixt have a good reputation. But what I don't like is their website. It looks quite confusing. For me it's not clear which vehicles they really offer. I've rented ther already four times and I was in general always satisfied with the cars and service provided. For sure I'll come back even Sixt is not the cheapest rent a car.

I know Sixt only from trips to Europe where I`ve rented from them already several times. They have had always great performance with great rental cars. Usually they were always brand new. In US I`ve not yet rented from Sixt till now. But I plan to go to Sixt as soon as Covid-19 will be over and I`ll fly in at LAX or SFO where I`m frequently for business.

I know already Sixt rent a car and made some experience. For me Sixt is the car rental company with one of the highest service level on the market. The offer low mileage cars, a wide selection and they don`t push customers to get services like insurance, gps, pre paid gasoline and the like. This makes the process at the counter more convenient and more efficient.

This was my last rental from Sixt when I have been last time in Europe. I`ve got a brand new BMW X1 xdrive 118i. A nice but small SUV from BMW which I`ve enjoyed very much. Suppose that Sixt do not offer this car in US.

Wanted to check out the beautiful Mercedes Benz SL out of XTAR for June at SFO airport from Sixt. The model is not available. For me somehow dissapointing that such a premium car rental company offers such a reduced fleet right now.

As far as I know it was Sixt’s first new one of 2020. Sixt in USA has more than 1,000 employees. The list of rental locations shows now than more than 50 locations, tendency growing!
