Yeah, the Sixt Mystery Car is not available at any time at any location. If you cannot find an approriate offer I suggest to book a category like FCAR. Combined with a little luck you can get a FOC upgrade which finally results in a good deal anyway. ;)

The Mystery Car at Sixt depends on availability of appropriate cars at the specific locations. So you do not only need luck to get a nice car when booking a Mystery Car but also to find such an offer in general ;)

I like this kind of gamble when renting at Sixt. I`ve already tried it sveral time with always good results. Two times I`ve got a C-Class, and one time a BMW 3 series. For sure I will book this category again. ;)

Hi, just found the carrental-forum.com. I am pleased to find here experiences as you have made @Sailing . Up to now I was not yet aware about the Sixt Mystery Car and the possibilities to get nice cars for low rates. I will try for sure the Mystery Car soon.

Good idea and welcome in the car rental forum. The Mystery Car should be tried one time by each car rental fan as it is always full of surprise and makes lots of fun. ;)

Presently Sixt US does not provide a high number of Mystery Car offers in US. What is the reason?

The Sixt Mystery Car is mostly offered as a short term proposal. Sixt obviously has the strategy that in case there are lots of cars available at a location then they can be offered in the category CCCC Mystery Car.
This means that you @Poolcar must have checked out proposals in the midterm or longer term. The later your planned rental dates are the less offers as Mystery Car or Premium Mystery car you will find. ;)

My last Sixt rental based on a Mystery Car reservation resulted in a Mercede-Benz C 220d. The C 220d is part of the LWAR fleet. For me this was an excellent result for a Mystery Car rental rate.
The new developed 2L 4 cylinder diesel engine in combination with the 9 gears automatic transmissions was a perfect combination. The adaptive suspension made also high speed driving to a comfortable and safe experience.

Welcome in the Car Rental Forum @Roadrunner100 ! :D

A Mercedes C 220d based on a Mystery Car Booking is an excellent result. The car seems to be well equipped with the newest technology Multibeam LED Lights.
Was this Mystery Car a short term reservation or did you make the reservation some tome in advance?

Congratulations @Roadrunner100 for such a good result based on a Mystery Car reservation. And thank you for the pics. I have not yet had the opportunity to test the new Mercedes 4 cylinder diesel engine.
Again, great to receive such a car from Sixt for a reasonable price. ;)
