Being honest, I think that nobody really needs a lounge at an airport before leaving with a rented car?

Individual expectations are different, guys. It also depends on whether you are on business or for holidays at an airport. I`ve never against a cup of coffee when I`m not in a hurry.

If there is any opportunity I enjoy always taking the time for a cup of coffee. I suggest to be not always in a hurry.

by experience I can tell you that as soon as you are in such an Emerald Club Lounge for the first time you will no more miss it again. You will see that there is much more than just a cup of coffee like snacks, newspapers, silence etc.

I`m already an Emerald Club member. I get regularly rewards which I enjoy much. For me the best rewards are the free rental days. As you probably know already for 7 credits you get already always one free rental day. Another important thing is that I never must pay any second driver fee. This means that any family member wants to drive the rental car as well this is absolutely no problem.

You will no more miss such a lounge again when you have been in such an for the first time.
Besides just a cup of coffee there are lots of other benefits like snacks, newspapers, silence etc.

Btw the Emerald Club Lounge is much better than i.e. Sixt DIA Lounges.

There is absolutely no doubt for me that the Emerald Club lounge is of course much better. More than a cup of coffee only you can not expect in a Sixt DIA lounge.

It must also be mentioned that there are also some other benefits for Emerald Club Executive members. For example the grace period usually is a little longer when the car is returned late. This might depend a little of the representative on duty.

Then also in case of other problems Executive members are treated much more friendly than customers who have to speak with the "normal customer service".

Correct @Sunrenter . In order to experience better service is an important argument to become an Emerald Club member. It`s always a good argument to avoit routine customer services.

Based on my experience the normal customer service of National is not the best one on the car rental market.
Anything which helps to improve like the membership in the Emereald Club is welcome.
