Yes, this free upgrade offers Alamo also for Canada and not only for US locations.

Currently Alamo offers discounted rates on daily and weekly rentals nationwide. The discount is not quite clear but I suppose that it dependes on the booked category.

Actually there is no special deal available from Alamo on the occasion of the New Year.

Currently you can get a 5% saving on base rates of pay later reservations as an Alamo Insider.

Ok, thx @Luxury for the information. However honestly speaking other rentel companies are offering a little more. If I go to Sixt I´ll always find a deal with 20 % savings.

Currently Alamo offers Last Minute Specials. For reduced daily rates it is a 1-day minimum rental with a 4-day maximum required. If someone is interested.
