Frequently only a few car rental fans in US take note about the Luxury Fleet of Avis US. They have a dedicated so-called Luxury Car rental. Here nice cares like the GMC Yukon Denali Luxury SUV can be found. Or the Mercedes-Benz GL450 Luxury SUV with V8 power is available for rental.

The Luxury Fleet is part of the Avis Select Series.

The Avis Select Series offers the customer a collection of guaranteed vehicles. Not all cars in the Luxxury Fleet of Avis US are guaranteed.

This is correct @Cowling . Not all vehicles out of the Avis Luxury Car Rental fleet are guaranteed. In such cases the offers is always "model x or similar".

Wondering why Avis is still showing on its booking page the old version of the Mercedes E-Class? This version has been replaced by the actual one around 4 years ago.

The Mercedes E-Class picture is supposed to be symbolic only. But of course you are right @Ricky it would be very useful if Avis keeps its pictures updated.

At Avis US the Luxury Car Rental is part of the Avis Select Series. Up to now I could not yet find too much real luxury cars in the fleet of Avis US. Perhaps someone can help me

In terms of SUVs you have the choice between BMW X5 or Chevrolet Suburban or Mercedes GLS 450 and others. What about a Chevrolet Corvette Coupe or a Ford Mustang Coupe? Also a Lincoln Continental is not really on the non-exclusive side.

Ok, Avis US has a reasonable fleet. But for sure not comparable wahta Enterprise offers with its Exotic Car Rental. To be fair, rental rates at both companies are also totally different, i.e. much higher at Enterprise than at Avis US.
