I want to rent a car for 2-3 days for a birthday party near BOS in May. My wife would like to rent a Ford Mustang. After having made some research, it looks like Sixt may be the only car rental company where I can try to get guaranteed a Mustang specifically. Of course, the price level is still an issue. Therefore I'm searching for a deal if there is one.

Someone can be of any help. Would be great !

Sixt also has some Mustang types for rental. The lowest rental rate you`ll get by using the Sixt deal page. This is an option for around 20% reduction.
I suggest trying to return by Monday before noon if you need the car over a weekend @5.psi. Reason behind is that weekend rates end at monday noon and are much cheaper than any rates during the week.

An issue always is of course that usually car rental companies guarantee a category only and not a specific car type. Specific car types to be guaranteed are more expensive if there are any.
Personally I would reserve the full size category. When you are there you can ask for a Mustang. It might happen that the yask then for a small upgrade fee if they want to make some additional money.

Actually you get a Ford Mustang Coupe at AVIS Boston Logan Intl Airport, BOS for a cheap price of around $42 only. I suggest to check it out there @5.psi .
The prise is even valid from Tuesday to Friday and not only over a weekend as mentiond by @Cooper

@5.psi, which Ford Mustang do you mean? The Fastback or Convertible? Or the GT Fastback or GT Convertible? Or the Ford Mustang Shelby GT-S (beautiful car)?

A guaranteed Ford Mustang GT Convertible can be found at Sixt under the category Sports & Luxury Cars. This is not the Shelby GT-S, but also a very nice Mustang

At Avis the Ford Mustang Coupe and the Ford Mustang Convertible can be rented as well. Just for information.

I think Sixt has the Ford Mustang Shelby GT but not the S-Version. However the difference is not that big. The painting might be a little more sporty
