Actually Dollar advertise the rental of a car based on a debit card. They want to take the stress out of the usage of a debit card when renting a car. There will be no credit checks done and also young renters are allowed to rent a car.

I can well imagine that during the actual pandemic phase lots of people loose not only jobs but also the credit card. Therefore the application of debit cards for rentalcars become more and more important. Obviously Doolar has recognized also this fact and starts to advertise the car rental based on debit cards.

There is also an exeption form the rule. Debit cards are always accepted when dollar express member has noted such a card in its member profile. Dollar express rewards members can pay with debit cards. They simply have to use it in their profile. They also can be used normaly for a insurance replacement rental.

You must a valid driver's license and one other form of identification. You have proof with an airline return travel ticket coincidence with the rental. Main advantage is that dollar will not perform a credit check when you make reservation with a debit card. But be careful.

Correct. But what do you mean with your suggestion to be careful? I don`t see any risk when using a debit card for a rental at Dollar.
