Ford Flex Avis

Post by Ricksrentalreview » Mon Sep 14, 2020 9:06 pm

A 2020 Ford Flex. This is a modern day station wagon. The only change I would make is to have the rear seats face backwards. Who remembers sitting in the back seat of a station wagon and making faces at the cars behind you. ME! This car has 4 sunroofs. 1 for the front seat, 2 over the middle row and 1 for the back. Kind of puts the Olds Vista Cruiser to shame. No big block for a power plant, though. It is a sqaurish- rectangular box. You can not confuse it with anything else on the road. I am not to keen on the styling slashes, but I do like that it doesn’t look like every other vehicle on the road. Bring this square, I am sure you can fill this up with dozens of cases of your favorite beach beverage. This will make you the “guy” who gets to make all the beer runs. It did not feel big when driving, making it very family friendly. Kids, dogs, beach balls, load’em up. In these COVID days, the rental car choices are very slim right now. My choices from Avis were a Grand Caravan, Pacifica, it the Flex. This serves the same purpose as a mini van, it just doesn’t look like a loser cruiser. Anybody miss the wood grain sides of the old station wagons? Maybe Ford should add that to the Flex option sheet. The cooling seats should be standard equipment in Texas, I used those every day. Long live the station wagon.

Rear seat face backwards, ok for fun. But for me never on long distances. Do you have a picture of this Ford Flex? Would be cool! ;)

I don`t need cooling seats in a car. Airconditioning satisfies all my needs. For me the price of a car is more important and not all features which are possible. Ok, in a rental car I enjoy all features installed of course. ;)

Production for the Ford Flex has ended. Ford recommend the Expedition and the Explorer as a replacement for the Flex.
