As per my experience they focus mostly in the sale of insurances. You have always to be very careful before signing the rental contract.

Avis advertises a so called "Hands-Free Navigation (GPS)". For me a ridiculous extra as reall more or less most of the cars offerd have already a build in GPS system on board. So this seems to be a a "money printing machine" only. :(

The cheap categories like M**** don`t usualy have navigation systems on board. For these cars such an extra makes sense.

Indeed. The small cars usually don`t have a navigation system already installed. But I personally would use instead of that my smartphone which has of course a GPS integrated.

Sixt gives toll unlimited option. you can choose the fast lane and zoom through traffic for the whole trip on rental car. But Sixt is too expensive.
As far as Iknow this extra is available for Florida only when you rent a car from Sixt. ;)

Based on my experience you have to be careful with extras which the guys at the counter want to sell. Lots of these extras are already insalled in lots of rental cars. The typical example for me is always the navigation system.

A GPS navigation system is also an extra which usually is offerd by car rental companies. Most of today`s cars have them already on board as part of the basic equipment.

Up to now I`ve never rented any extra. Most of the midsize rental cars have even already a GPS navigation system on board.

An extra which I book from time to time is an Additional Driver. ;)
