Sixt XCAR and WCAR Difference

Post by roadmappy » Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:16 am

Sixt in US offers the categories XCAR and WCAR. I wonder what finally is the difference? Both categories should have cars like Mercedes E-Class, Cadillac XTS or Volvo S90. Someone has more information?

Thanks! :D

Sixt is not very responsive. I don`t like that especially at a premium car rental company.

Perhaps I can try to explain a littlle based on the ACRISS-Code. W stands for Luxury, X for Special. So Sixt can keep a certain flexibility which models they offer under WCAR and XCAR.
*CAR is then always the same.

Thanks for the explanation @Bentley

Can you please further advise what in the ACRISS-Code *CAR means?

Of course C stands for 2-4 doors, A for automatic transmission and R for airconditioning system.

Thanks @Bentley for clarification. I have tried to contact Sixt directly asking this question. But no answer received. I personally hate car rental companies with which no communication seems to be possible.

By experience @LAhighway I fully support your opinion. Especially here in US Sixt is not very communicative

From time to time I wonder what their problem is. Probably the Sixt business here in US is running much too easy for them.
