As Florida has much more toll roads than any other state, around 657 miles, Florida started already in 2004 to move highways towards all electronic cashless tolling. When renting a car for driving in Florida not only from Sixt but all other car rental companies as well the renter must know all options for payment. An Express Toll Service can easily booked as an extra at Sixt car rental which allows the renter to pass through all toll lanes within Florida which offer an automazic service like E-pass, MDX or Sunpass. The Sixt Express Toll Service allows the renter to pass all these automated toll lanes as many times as needed for a daily prepaid rate. The offered extra of Sixt is very convenient for all renters of Sixt cars as there are no more any waiting in the lines necessary and of course no costly additional fees. You can book the Sunpass already in advance on the Sixt deal page as well.

It is possible to use your own Sunpass transponder when you rent a Sixt car. BVut it is mandatory to register the Sixt rental car on your own account in order to make sure that all toll fees due will be paid. In case due to whatever reason the payment through your account fails Sixt will charge you directly all toll fees plus an administration fee of $5 for each violation of toll fees. Sixt will also refuse any liability for transponders forgotten in the Sixt rental car.

For those who do not yet know this speciality in Florida in all detail, the Sunpass can be bought in advance of any trip to Florida on SunPass.com or at a local store. Afterwards it must be registered with the Sixt rental vehicle. Important to know is that besides the Sunpass option the Sixt offered Express Toll Service is the more stress free option for any renter. There is no need to neither buy the Sunpass nor to load it with a certain amount of credit nor it must be taken care if there is sufficient credit.
