If I don`t have the opportunity for any status match how can I get regularly the Emerald Executive or Executive Elite Status?

Of coursethere are lots of possibilities to get the status. The requirements to earn the status by renting only are the following:

Emerald Executive Status:
- you need min. 12 paid rentals in a calendar year or
- you need min. 40 paid rental days in a calendar year

Emerald Executive Elite Status:
- you need min. 25 paid rentals in a calendar year or
- you need min. 85 paid rental days in a calendar year


But as already said there are additionaly different ways to receive the Executive and Elite status without renting a car from National.

For me the alternative ways to receive the Executive and Elite status without renting a car from National are interesting. Therefore again does someone have information about other ways how to get the National Emerald Club Executive Status or Elite Status without the need to rent any car.

With pleasure @Aston. You have to know that National offers status matches to Hertz customers and also Avis customers. This means that in case you are a holder of any status with Avis or Hertz it is easy to match your status over to National. More details:

if you are currently Avis Preferred First memebr or Hertz Club Gold Five Star you can easily match over to become Emerald Club Executive. In case you are already a member of either the Avis President’s Club or the Avis Chairman’s Club or the Hertz Club Gold President’s Circle you have the possibility to match over to Emerald Club Executive Elite.
The same is valid if you are holder of the Continental Presidential Plus card, the United Club card or you are already Avis First member then it is easy to sign-up for the match.
Also in case you are holder of the American Express Platinum card you receive National Emerald Executive status more or less automatically as part of being a cardholder. It doesn`t matter whether you have the personal Platinum, the Mercedes Benz Platinum or the business Platinum.
And on top of that during the last two years there was a promotion of Milepoint ongoing. And I think this offer is still active. You can sign up for $50 and receive a package of perks and benefits. One of these benefits is the National Emerald Executive membership.

For you guys some further information: There is a next higher level which is the Emerald Executive Elite status. Also there are additional benefits:
- on 24-hour notice a guaranteed car will be reived. This is valid up to Fullsize
- the rented vehicle will be delivered to most private airport terminals as well at lots of national locations.
- one free rental day for only five rental credits. Hereby you can select any car class with no blackout dates.

What do you expect from a lounge @BocaRaton ?
There you get a cup of coffee free of charge, nothing more. When I arrive at an airport I necer want to stay there for a coffee. I want to pickup my rented car as quick as possible in order to continue the trip. Therefore I never need any lounge.

You are not forced to use a lounge @Airport . But as an Emerald Club member you can alternatively use the fast lane. This fully is in line and supports your wish to leave an airport with your rented car as quick as possible.
