National Car Rental Locations

I open this thread in order to get news from National car rental locations. For lots of users it might be interesting to learn what is going on at the locations. Especially during the Covid-19 phase nobody has a clear picture avout the situation at car rental companies like National. Do they still have an appropriate fleet available? Are there any locations closed? Thanks a lot for your information.

Thank for this idea @Airbrusher . You are completely right that there is a lot of confusion existing as far as the situation at individual locations of car rental companies is concerned. This is not only valid for National but for all other car rental companies also.

I don`t have a very actual picture but some time ago I`ve made one at Portland International Jetport PWM. It indicates the actual situation of being empty in the area of car rental parkings. Hope that this will change soon now.

Most locations of the big ones like National are open. Exceptions are mostly smaller downtown locations are partwise closed . Locations at the airports are always open. This is my feeling.

As far as I know at major airports like JFK, LAX etc business goes on. Not on the level as used in the past but people are still renting cars.

At the airports National operates its business normally. The fleet size seems to be slightly decreased. That's my impression.

At airports sufficient open locations are available. But as per my experience lots of downtown locations from National are temporarily not open.
