Rental Car Airport Fees

There are locations of car rental companies where I have to pay airport fees even the location which is around 10 miles from the airport. An example is Denver Airport. However there are some exceptional cases those fees are waived if you can prove that you didn`t fly in. But also in such cases rental companies are not stopped from invoicing for these fees. The reason is that the local government force the rental companies to charge the fees.

Frequently such an airport fee depends on the usage of the airport transport. If you use the transport in order to reach a rental location then the airport fee applies. If you must not use any transport then no airport fee can be applied.

When I book on the internet then the fee will be included @Airbrusher. And you think that it is on me to figure out when such a fee is not correct. And also it`s up to me to request an appropriate refunding?
