The reason for the price increase is not only the lack of cars but also something which happens every year again. The car rental companies start getting busy during the spring break, but nobody was expecting this high demand. Such an increase in demand caused prices to rise almost 300% in some locations which really happens every year.

recently I visited my nearby location. The fleet at Avis has increased heavily since my last visit.

At certain locations it`s in the meantime difficult to get a rental car. Lots of them are presently sold out.
