I booked that wrangler via priceline and it chose avis as my rental company
Just checked out an offer from priceline/Budget and compared with a direct booking from Budget. Based on the same rental dates/duration/location/car class the direct booking from Budget would be around 30 % cheaper than going via priceline. ;)

I’ve found that aswell it is no longer worth booking via priceline hotwire expedia or any other travel sites

I fully agree what @Freightliner and @Lauderdalerick are saying. I don`t use priceline anymore. Direct bookings at rental companies are usually cheaper. Especially when I can use a deal or a coupon.

It’s even better if you have points with one of the major rental companies

Absolutely correct, and then you can use for a free rental day or so.

The disadvantage is that you must use always the same renta company when you want to get points. I prefer to change from time to time. ;)

I totally agree with you on that @Lambocar i do try other rental companies aswell but i book directly with the rental company and just use priceline/hotwire to shop for price then i go on the website of the rental company with a good price and book directly from there

Priceline is usefull as a benchmark. Not more. I also book more or less always directly on the website of the rental company. Frequently I use deals if possible.

I’m currently in a Jeep Compass Trailhawk from Avis. I dealt with another lack of maintenance from them it’s got bald tires with no tread on them at all whatsoever.it’s got 47,769 miles but i saw an oil change sticker on it that says it’s due at 19k miles so it’s way overdue for an oil change. It’s also got a slipping transmission
