Yeah, what helps a saving by using the pay now option and then I have to pay the bill in case of cancellation. :mrgreen:

If you book on short term notice and you are sure that the rental will take place the pay now option is very usefull. In such cases I always use it and save a lot of money. :D

Usually I pay at the counter. I prefer to pay a little more and to be flexible. you never know what will happen tomorrow. especially when you make a booking for business purposes.

I pay also at the counter. made already some bad experience with prepayment as I had to change my plans and couldn´t cancel my reservation free of charge. :(

I want to express my frustration with the Emerald Club as I can`t recognize any real benefit for the members. National make lots of advertizement about it but again it`s not worth the paper. :(

There are many benefits @Goahead.
You can use the Aisle and choose your car. Then you can bypass the counter and the retrun will be faster with e-receipt. You get free rental days after seven rental credits. Also you can get hotel rewards or frequent flyer miles. For any additional driver no additional fee will be applied.

For me with the National Emerald i even earned frequent delta miles as for when i do fly i fly with delta i have tons of delta miles
