Avis wants to ensure the saftey as far as the Covid-19/ Coronavirus is concerned. They monitore closely all guidances of the World Health Organization. In this respect besides other measurements Avis have enhanced their cleaning techniques of their vehicles after each rental. Acis pay special attention to all the places people touch such as steering wheels, door handles and other hard surfaces.

I cannot imagine that they do this type of cleaning at all locations. At large stations like airports I don`t think that there is sufficient time for that.

But the time will come that they will be obliged by law to clean the cars much better in order to avoid distribution of covid.

Booking is still not a problem. Any reservations can be changed or canceled without fees which are due to start before May 1st.

For bookings which start after May 1st, any changes can be made up to 72 hours before pickup of tha car.

Due to the virus I think that rental rates will soon decrease. It is the time for fun renters who can rent now beautiful and attractive cars for low rates.

I think that midterm the fleet at car rental companies will be decreased as well. So finally rental rates will be stabilised.
