Car Rental, which extras are recommended ?

Avis offers a Satellite Radio (XMR) as an extra. Price is $ 7.99 / Day.

Does it make sense to pay such a price? What do you think guys?

Hi!

Booked once. Worthwile when driving far away of any civilization. Good for commercial-free music from almost every genre, plus news and sports while you drive . Anyway much too expensive. :(

A GPS navigation system is also an extra which usually is offerd by car rental companies. Most of today`s cars have them already on board as part of the basic equipment. I wonder why it is still offerd as an extra for a lot of money? :(

The car rental companes are profit driven, no doubt ;)

Sixt offers Express Toll Unlimited option. What do you guys think about that?
One can choose the fast lane and zoom through traffic for the whole trip with the rented car. Price however is $12.04 per day.

It depends where you intend to drive. If you pass one chargeable bridge only then it is much too expensive what Sixt offers as an extra.

I `ll prefer to pay toll as necessary. The option offered by Sixt is far too expensive.

almost all cars have an navigation system on board but the RSA ask all the time "do you need a navigation system?"
yes he still tries to earn some money in addition :D
