Alamo Drive Happy Deal
Alamo offers a Drive Happy Deal on a low price basis. This means that the Vehicle which the customers gets will be determined upon pick-up time. It will be minimum the category compact or larger. I.e. at SFO International Airport the price per day is around $26

Correct @Up2021. I just looked for a online offer from Alamo at SFO for 3 days in january 2020. The folowing price and calculation can be seen:
Drive Happy Deal
Estimated Total
$123.37
Calculation:
Vehicle determined upon pick-up (Compact or Larger) or similar
3 Day(s) @26.53 $79.59
Concession Recovery Fee 11.11 Pct (11.11%) $9.40
San Mateo County Bus Lic 2.50 Pct (2.5%) $2.35
Air Tran Fee 16.00/rntl $16.00
Tourism Commission Rec 3.50 Pct (3.5%) $2.79
Vehicle License Recovery Fee $5.01
Sales Tax (9.25%) $8.23
Unlimited mileage Included
Im order to get better cars my personal opinion is to use the Sixt deal page. There you get much more attractive and newer cars. My opinion only.

$41 / day is not a promotion for the Alamo Drive Happy Deal. But the Airport SFO is not a cheap rental location what easily can been seen in the calculation of individual fees and licensees.

I use frequently the Alamo Drive Happy Deal and never had any reason to complain. The cars I`ve got were always ok for me. Based on the low rental rate for me the Happy Deal is always the best choice.

Without any doubt the Drive Happy Deal from Dollar allows great deals with nice cars. But I think that basicaly always almost all car classes can be booked for low rental rates. The biggest factors for the rental rates are the days of the pickup and the length of the rental. Most of the biggest mistake people make is that there are lots of possible discounts (i.e. AAA, AARP, etc.). Most customers don`t at all discounts which are possible.

@StarStripe is right. Most of the renters don't know most of the promos. Then I think the rate for such a drive happy deal is never wrong.
