Hi all, just a question for a practical advice in terms of a planned rental from Enterprise.
For a travel with my family we are renting a car from DTW airport. I specifically want a Chevy Suburban. There is another car in the same class which is the Ford Expedition. But the Ford is substantially small in terms of the cargo space behind the third raw. I have already tried calling the location to see what models do they actually have available for this category. But I didn`t succed and keep getting the service center.
The Chevy's class is about 35% more expensive than the minivan class but I`m willing to pay this premium if I get the Chevy Suburban.
Anyone of you guys has any idea how to check this?

As far as I know the car class Premium SUV only has the Suburban/Expedition Max. On the other side the Full Size SUV category only has Tahoe, Armada and Expedition. Therefore if you @sunset need space, consider the minivan as it is more comfortable and offers an ease of access. I guess that most likely, you`ll get a Pacifica or Voyager. Based on my experience Enterprise still keeps Caravans around.

I agree with everything @Bentley said. A Premium SUV which is PFAR would typically be a Ford Expedition EL/Max, Chevy Suburban or a GMC Yukon XL. They have seats for 8 people and herewith the most available space in the SUV class. From my point of view for 7 persons Minivans are more comfortable. They also offer almost as much cargo capacity. @sunset it finally comes down to a matter of personal preference. My experience is that that Minivans are often priced lower than PFARs. Hope this information helps.

Thx for the information. I think I`ll book the Minivan category. It will help to save some money and we`ll get a comfortable car.
