Hertz Managers Special

Hertz actually plans to offer lots of electrical driven cars. Personally I don`t like them.

The rental of an electrical driven car is a great opportunity to try such a car for one day or more.

I’m out of town for the weekend and decided to try Hertz Managers special i was assigned a 2020 Jeep Compass Latitude with 28,479 miles on it the a/c doesn’t work and has a slipping transmission

And the electrical system seems to be having s seizure warning lights keep flickering and an errror message keeps saying auto start stop unavailable cabin heating/cooling. The car makes a really bad noise it sounds like a wheel bearing is shot the vehicle groans and the transmission shifts rough

I hate this type of rental cars......
For me an acceptable technical condition is a minimum requirement.

Yeah this will be the first time and the last time i rent from hertz the electrical system flashed a chime saying vehicle engine running when i turned on the vehicle like I would hope a vehicle starts when i turn it on and it kept saying auto start stop not ready because it doesn’t feel like and the car also lurches at stoplights

Yeah this will be the first time and the last time i rent from hertz

My last rental from Hertz is long time ago. I don't want to waste my money for cars which are not maintained. Any other rental company is better than Hertz. My opinon only.

And Hertz is still buying the most used vehicles i ran the vin number and discovered this vehicle was traded in to a dealership and the dealership sent it to a wholesale auto auction and hertz bid on this I suspect either the battery is dead or the alternator is on its way out. As a consultant for a marketing firm that does surveys and I surveyed manheim and find that hertz is just keeping on buying and buying vehicles just to say they have the most vehicles it’s quite clear in the fleet they just want to have the most quantity and not any quality hertz is often touching vehicles that other dealers won’t touch that often have major problems or won’t sell when a vehicle at a wholesale auction won’t sell or other dealers won’t touch it there’s a big reason and hertz is going after those vehicles.

Conclusion is to avoid Hertz whenever possible.
